The statement by the President of the Security Council at the meeting on "The Situation in Sierra Leone" was released on 9 October 2012. Speaking on behalf of the Security Council, the President commended the Special Court of Sierra Leone for its work in strengthening stability and ending impunity in Sierra Leone and the subregion.
